Calligraphy

Calligraphy is a form of visual art. It is often referred to as an art of fancy lettering. A modern definition of calligraphy is "the art of giving form to signs in an creative, expressive & harmonious manner". This word has been derived from two Greek words- kallos which means 'beauty' and grapho which means 'writing'.

Designer greeting cards, invitations, announcements, certificates, business cards, menus and decorative books to logos, monograms, posters, motivational art prints or even titles for magazines and films a a few of the many options you can pick as a professional Calligraphist. The recent diverse applications also extend to paintings, maps, and legal documents, cut stone inscriptions, ceramics, memorial documents and other handmade presentations.
Just addressing envelopes or propagating the art by conducting calligraphy classes and workshops is a very flourishing business. Creatively lettered artwork is a merchandise in great demand. Another option is body art designing in conjunction with tattoo artists, which is becoming a rage amongst the youth of today.
